What to do when the weather isn’t perfect? Well, why do anything different at all? Wedding day is wedding day…and so we just adapt to our circumstances. Bride doesn’t want to sink in the mud? We get creative and keep her shoes clean and a smile on her face.
Even though the day dawned with ice and cold, Jennie and Nate were getting married at 6 pm…so we were having a wedding! Harvest House at Lost Creek Winery was the setting, and by mid afternoon, the rain had stopped – the ice was melting, and the wedding party was dressed.
Bride wanted a first look, so we made it happen and her shoes did NOT get dirty! Group photos? No problem. Harvest House has a huge front porch! And just when you think you are done, you turn around on a sunset like this:
So you take the photo of the day. And wow – the little bit of fog, the blue and pink…all real folks. Not added in photoshop!
It was a beautiful day after all. Hard to believe it started off with so much cloud cover and wet/frozen stuff. In the end, it was amazing.
So help me wish Jennie and Nate a beautiful life together – and while they are waiting on their wedding images – here’s a little sneak peek of just a few of the ones I’m working through…
