Jay is one of those kids that you remember when you meet him because he’s such a nice guy. I mean it – this is one of those ones that will hold open a door for you, and even ask if you need help carrying things. I know this because I’m almost always carrying things into the school when I go there and he will always ask me if I need help.
I’ve had the opportunity to see Jay lost in his music at Purcellville’s Rock the Field event in the past, and in Loudoun Valley High School’s theatrical productions. But yesterday I had the opportunity to photograph him in the studio – and he brought his guitar! I love when kids bring things they LOVE, and it is clear that Jay and his music will never be far apart.
Jay and his mom gave me license to pretty much do whatever I wanted, so I had a lot of fun with Jay. He has about a hundred different expressions, and I think I saw them all yesterday. He can even do a fake laugh really well!
So Jay, here is a sneak peek of what you’ll see in your gallery shortly. Enjoy it!
I love the photos of Jay. You’ve captured his spirit. Nice work!
Wow!! These pictures are amazing! He takes awesome pictures!
These pictures are great!
You captured the real Jay. Wonderful selection of photos.
Jay, the Blues Man! What great pictures.
Jay looks like a rock start in those pictures. They are really nice and accurately protray his seriousness as a musician.
I’m ready to buy his albums right now! He MUST be a major star, right? He sure looks like one. Great job!
Hey Jay these are wonderful pictures. You have a great gift for the camera. We are friends of your Dad Jesse. God bless you, The Archer’s.
These pictures are great. Looking very handsome, Jay!
those are great! Payton wants to know if he’s a male model or something!!
For some reason, I got this song called ‘Vehicle’ playing in my mind:
“Hey, well I’m the friendly stranger
In the black sedan
Oh won’t you hop inside my car?
I got pictures, got candy, I am a lovable man
I’d like to take you to the nearest star…”
Congrats on getting the senior pics, it’s a long way from those pictures in kindergarten to now from the little boy to the young man- another rite of passage.
Just wanted to say that I thought this was your dad in his younger days. I am a co-worker of your dad GQ here we come.
