Senior Girls and their horses- Senior Photos with Your Horse

Equine PHotography, Senior Portraits, SEnior photography, Patty Schuchman Photography, Northern Virginia Senior PhotographerLoudoun VAlley High School, Class of 2012Megan has been working at a special riding facility that offers therapeutic riding programs. She’s been doing it for most of her high school “career” and she loves it! While working at the program, she’s been riding “Lilly”. The horses there are what they call “bomb proof” – in other words, not skittish, jumpy, etc in general – so photographing Lilly should have been simple, huh? Well…easy going is easy going…and that means, she wasn’t overly interested in giving us ears forward at the late hour we asked her to come out and play. Normally that’s her “night time”, so although she cooperated with us, she didn’t have to “smile for the camera” if she didn’t want to – and she really didn’t want to, LOL.

So we got as creative as we could – making every animal noise we could think of, shaking, arms waving, etc…and we were lucky to get her attention a few times. Megan, on the other hand, was attentive and ears forward for the whole session.

Here’s a sneak peek for Megan – who by the way is the senior representative for Loudoun Valley High School this year – so be sure to be ask Megan in the hallway at school for a special incentive card that gives you a discount on YOUR senior session! She’ll be happy to share with you and she’ll also be happy to answer your questions about how a session goes – she’s a pro at it now.
