First week of Construction….{Loudoun County Photographer}

Week one of construction – or shall we say DESTRUCTION has gone pretty well.  (As long as you don’t ask my dogs, that is!)   But for us, we know that getting started one week earlier than we planned is a good thing and it gives us a better chance of finishing on time.

So this week we have a lot of things getting torn apart – the walls we don’t need in the new plans, and the concrete that has to be torn up to make way for new pipes and new support beams.  All of this create LOUD NOISES…so that was the theme of this week.  Of course in between it is business as usual – at least as usual as possible!

Some have asked if I am still open during construction – and yes, I am.  I’m on location for two months, or even outdoors if the weather permits as it did over the holidays for a number of families who utilized the outdoor #PortraitPark for some great family photo options.  I’ll be watching the weather forecast carefully over the next few months and also working on new designs for brochures, etc while making my way through client designs from the fall too.

But the real surprise is how much the spring and summer are already booking – surprising me even a little as it’s earlier than last year.  But I did book the entire summer last year so if you are looking for an #outdoorsession this summer, you might want to book it as early as possible.  Seems the #portraitpark really is gaining in popularity!

We’ll be posting photos of the progress on Twitter – so be sure to follow us if you are looking for inspiration for your own spaces!
