For Christine and Zach the day dawned with predicted rain…during their ceremony, and for about two hours afterward. Which should have been a big “yuk” for the photos, but it turned out that the rain held off! – or at least it did over Riverside on the Potomac for Christine and Zach! We had some sprinkles, but the ceremony was dry and a little breezy…which was great! And we had time afterwards for family photos, AND some couple photos before we felt a few rain drops. All in all, for the way the day was predicted, it couldn’t have turned out better weather wise!
This couple is adorable. They total “fit” – both had a great time with their day, and the party was FUN. I’ve had the opportunity to work with some of the guests before at other weddings, and the new Mr. and Mrs. Smith – one of my couples from just last month, were in the bridal party too – so I had a lot of familiar faces and that made it so much more fun for me. It almost felt like a family wedding for me too!
Can we talk about the details? OMG. So beautiful! Everywhere – and it just made the day so much more fun to photograph to have so many details! Elegant Momentz put their wizardry into action on this one – and between all the details AND their ability to keep the day going smoothly, even with a few hiccups along the way (as will happen at every wedding, no matter what), we had this one on time! And moving well so the couple could take full advantage of their beautiful reception. Because who would want to miss that party? Between food, cake, and fun?
Main Event Catering did an amazing job with the food – and their staff were a dream to work with! This couple had someone at their side all night long making sure they had everything they needed, or wanted. Still can’t stop thinking about the bourbon chicken and waffle appetizer..so good!
And Layered Cake Patisserie did an absolutely incredible job with the wedding cake. We had a chance to try this too – and again, OMG. Moist and delicious wedding cake…almost never happens, right? But folks..seriously – try them out! They have a full bakery in Leesburg and if you haven’t sampled their donuts or danishes – stop in and grab them if you can!
The DJ kept this party going…and as you can see, the guest enjoyed the chance to dance it out.
The dress? Well…gorgeous…tried to do it justice, but once Christine put it on it was for sure it was always meant to be her gown. She was beautiful in that gown!
What didn’t I like about this wedding? Having to leave the party…LOL.
These are just a few of the days favorites in here – but stay tuned for the slide show which will be up soon. And yes, Zach, I’m working to slow it down so you can enjoy it!
