As time goes on, I sometimes feel the need to change things up in the Portrait Park. This spring I’ve made a few minor tweaks, and a few not so minor. I decided I need to do something different with one area in the Big Red Shed – so I made a plan and spent my free time (HA!) in the past two weeks making it happen. I wanted an old world, old room look. The guys at Loudoun Lumber helped me with the right materials for the base, and then I made the texture, and used different colors of grey paint to layer on the effect I wanted. I added the chair (which was the original inspiration) from World Market, and at the last minute also added spray paint to the old chandelier. Voila! A new scene for most any color outfit, and a texture that is soft, won’t snag a dress, and in this spot in the big red shed it’s in beautiful light all the time! This means outdoor sessions have a “room” option now too!
So Nikki was my first official senior session of this “spring” season in the portrait park. She had this beautiful dark blue dress, and I decided it would look stunning in this scene. Nikki is great expressions, and so here are just two of the stunners from yesterday’s session – both in this scene as a teaser for what her entire gallery will hold! I have so many beautiful ones, I’m really excited to show this gallery off to mom and Nikki!
