Jordan and Ali had a beautiful day at Oatlands for their early evening wedding. The preparations started at their home with the bride and bridesmaids and moved to Oatlands for the “dressing” of the bride and groom. The ceremony was in the gardens, followed by a cocktail hour and then the tented reception.
The staff at Oatlands is wonderful for making sure the day’s events go off without a hitch. Add to that the DJ, Matt Johnson of Black Tie DJ and the caterer – Culinary Delights by Feist, and we were all able to easily stay on schedule for Jordan and Ali.
I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Jordan, the groom, for many years as he and my oldest son both studied Tae Kwon Do at James Madison University. Having the chance to photograph his wedding was such an honor, spending this day with both of them just made me smile all day.
Jordan and Ali are such a perfect couple, so cute and adorable and it was so much fun to watch them both actually enjoy their own wedding.
And yes, that is the father of the groom having a random kick of joy right after the wedding ceremony….so cute! And so glad my second shooter caught that moment for us all to enjoy!
This was my first time at Oatlands, and I hope I have many more opportunities to work at this venue. It’s absolutely beautiful, and again, the staff is wonderful!
