Family photography is one my favorite specialities! And when the family consists of a mom, dad and an 18 month old I know I’ll get a work out during the session. Toddlers want to be everywhere but where you want them, so you have to break all the rules, and follow them. Focus fast! Compose fast! And make sure mom and dad are always looking at the camera so they aren’t the ones who cause the photo to be a “toss”. In this case, mom and dad were GREAT about being consistent and looking at me – which was wonderful! So we just had to corral all the energy Tyler had – and he had quite a bit!
We opted for inside, outside and then back inside again as the light was good, but it was hot…and when you add the “running after a little one” to the heat, you get sticky fast….so a second blast of air conditioning and another chance for family setups in studio was a good end to the session.
I’m sorting through and planning the gallery, but just to tease mom and dad, here is a sneak peek of what you’ll see in your full gallery soon. Enjoy!!
